What They're Doing Now: Lauren Conrad

Lauren Conrad, formerly known as 'LC' by her Laguna Beach counterparts, has been a shock breakout star of the MTV show that premiered in the September of 2004. Two years later Lauren found herself a nominee, and an eventual winner, for the Teen Choice Award - Choice Female Reality TV Star. Young, fresh and fun, Lauren's fanbase has gradually built up since she was just 18 years old in High School.

Born and bred in Laguna Beach, California, by parents Jim and Kathy, Lauren grew up in Orange County's 'bubble' and joined the Laguna cast during her senior year at Laguna Beach High School (LBHS).

Lauren was the narrative voice amongst seven other teens, and she credits the show as helping her come out of her shell, from a shy character to an outgoing person and a natural in front of the cameras. Upon graduation, Lauren's ambitions in fashion lead her to study at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where she studied just minutes away from long-time crush Stephen Colletti (who studied at San Francisco State University). After just one semester, Lauren left the school and transferred to study at FIDM's LA campus. She also began an internship at Three Dots, a clothing company.

After this, she moved on to intern at Teen Vogue magazine (where she still interns) and this career move was featured as one of the bases of her post-Laguna spin-off reality show The Hills.

The show follows Lauren's entry into the fashion industry, her own personal style and the developments in friendships and romances.

The airtime she worked up not only on Laguna but also on The Hills, which was a huge success for MTV, led her to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live, TRL, Last Call with Carson Daly, E! News and The Tyra Banks Show.

What They're Doing Now: Stephen Colletti

Having had a pretty intense two years on Laguna Beach, what with his lady-juggling, Stephen's been one of the cast that, since the show stopped filming, has had a relatively drama-free time.

Stephen's popularity came about during his time on LB, and this was acknowledged by his positions in Teen Vogue's 'Young Hollywood's Up and Coming' in 2005, and in the same year, Teen People's 'Top Ten Most Beautiful Guy Stars'.

Upon graduation, Stephen got into San Francisco state to major in Radio & Television, but he quit after one year to pursue an acting career - and through this he landed appearances on Punk'd, Cleats of Imminent Doom, and most recently & prominently, One Tree Hill (as Chase Adams). He also hoster MTV's New Year's Eve Show in Time Square. He is still a VJ for MTV's Total Request Live.

Stephen has an upcoming movie, 'Normal Adolescent Behaviour', where his character is Robert. The film is described as a 'drama-comedy about the world of friendship, random hookups and "friends with benefits".' The film is set for release in late 2007.


He continues to date Hayden Panettiere of NBC's 'Heroes'.

What They're Doing Now: Kristin Cavallari

Kristin Cavallari: arguably Laguna Beach's most popular breakout star, is known mostly for her roles as Stephen's girlfriend in Season One and the narrative voice of Season Two. This leading role on the show earned her a Teen Choice Award nomination for Reality Female Star.

Since Laguna Beach finished, Cavallari's been interviewed in a number of television shows including Late Show with David Letterman, Last Call with Carson Daly, The Tyra Banks Show, and Live with Regis and Kathie Lee. She's had acting gigs on Veronica Mars (as a lesbian cheerleader), and scored a hosting job on UPN's Get This Party Started (which was cancelled after just two episodes, unfortunately).

She's featured on the covers of Teen People and Seventeen and has posed for sexy shots in Rolling Stone, Blender and GQ.

Endorsement advertising deals have been with Bongo, Until There's A Cure and perhaps most famously, PETA.

Movies have included the thriller Fingerprints, set for release in late 2007. She's currently filming a comedy called Spring Breakdown which is set to premiere on March 14 2008.
