Gavin Beasley: "Lauren's a Conversation Killer"

In Monday's episode of The Hills, we were introduced to Gavin Beasley, a model who got Lauren's number at a shoot and consequently took her out to dinner? Well, he's got some revelations to make - and he's made them, in an interview with Best Week Ever. Following more evidence that The Hills is staged, Gavin's added his fuel to the fire, saying: "I honestly had a really hard time talking to [Lauren]. She's kind of a conversation killer, and when the cameras are rolling, all conversation is kept firmly on the surface. She talked about how mean Perez Hilton was, and how you have to be nice to the paparazzi so they don't release the uglier pictures of you. I don't know - pop culture, Red Bull, stuff like that. In fact, the most interesting thing I got out of her was that she isn't allowed to eat ice cream because her trainer told her she can't. What you see is really what you get with these people. Lots of fascinating discussion about 'the club', Vegas, getting drunk, Heidi Montag is evil, and so on. The lack of depth was actually uncomfortable for me. Like, how can nothing be everything you talk about? Oh, I forgot - lots of talk about [her] clothing line. That's pretty important, right?"

After the monologue, Gavin also had some more cutting remarks to make about Brody Jenner, Lauren's long-term friend (with, it seems, occasional benefits) - who to be fair made some pretty harsh comments about Beasley on the show. Gavin said, "The interesting thing is Brody, off camera, was a pretty chill guy. When the show came out and he was saying stuff about me - like I was short, too perfect, boring, etc., I didn't get pissed because I know that's solely done for The Hills. He creates drama and a story. That's why he's there."

Interesting comments, Gavin - but nothing we didn't particularly know already.

LC Continues to Get Cosy...with Heidi's Friends!

No, your eyes don't deceive you; that really is Lauren Conrad with Heidi Montag's boss, Brent Bolthouse, pictured left. Any avid watchers of The Hills will recognise Brent as the Bolthouse behind Bolthouse Productions.

The picture was taken recently at a Victoria's Secret party for Phi Beta Pink, which both LC and Brent attended (and were pictured hugging at) - although it's not the first time the two have crossed paths. Just last month Lauren was seen at the Intermix opening, which Bolthouse both promoted and deejayed at.

I don't know what's up with the budding friendship but one thing's for certain - it's really going to get under Heidi's skin.

Oh God. SUCH drama!

Heidi Admits to Plastic Surgery: "I Hated My Body"

[Us Weekly] - Heidi Montag is finally ready to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
In an exclusive interview, Montag confirms what Us first reported in its April 23 issue: that she had undergone rhinoplasty and breast augmentation earlier that month.

The 21-year-old aspiring singer opens about her decision to go under the knife, enlarging from a 32-A to a 32-C, and the painful body-image problems that spurred her to make a change.

Tell Us why you had the surgeries.
“I’ve always been very insecure about my body. My whole life, I looked at my chest and was like, OK, they’re going to grow. This is my year! And it never happened. I was less than an A-cup. I wore pushup bras, which cut into my skin. If I was with a guy and there was a girl next to me with big boobs, I would be like, Oh, my God, he’s looking at her! On the beach, if I was standing next to a girl with big boobs, I’d be like, I hate her! I hated my nose too. I have my dad’s nose, which is huge. It took up so much of my face, when I looked down, I could see my nose. I couldn’t get away from it!”

Were you ever teased about your appearance?
“People would say, “You have such a big nose!” And they’d make fun of me for being so flat, and say mean boy things, like, “If you nailed two nails in a board, they would be bigger than you are.” I was tormented. And when I was older, I’d want to be intimate, but I’d feel insecure. My boyfriends always had bigger chests than I did!”
A lot of people believe Spencer pressured you into surgery, since he's made his love of Playboy bunnies known.“He had nothing to do with it. If anything, he said, 'maybe you should think about it a lot longer'."

Take Us back to April 2, the day of surgery.
“I woke up, and it was like Christmas: I was a nervous wreck, but I was just so excited at the same time. Spencer said, “I’m so proud of you.” It was like he was wishing me well off to school: “Love you! Bye!” But surgery is a very big deal. Right before I went in, I was like, What if I don’t wake up? Oh, this is scary. Then I thought, I don’t care. If I don’t wake up, it’s worth it. I just wanted it so badly.”

Lauren and Heidi Look Gorgeous and Avoid Each Other

When feuding stars Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag both showed up at the US Weekly Hot Hollywood party recently, guests and revellers wondered whether it'd be another awkward showdown (as seen at LA restaurant Ketchup in a recent episode of The Hills).

However, dressed in their co-ordinated outfits, Heidi and fiancé Spencer Pratt merely avoided their long-term enemy.

Both girls went for round-necked shift dresses - my personal favourite is Lauren's dress but, admittedly, Heidi looks cute too. What's your verdict?

LC and Stephen: Finally a Couple?!

I suppose this story was due in only a matter of time. As I reported last week, Stephen Colletti has recently split with girlfriend-of-a-year, Heroes hottie Hayden Panettiere.

And for any of you Laguna Beach fans out there, you'll remember Lauren and Stephen's 'will-they-won't-they' hook-ups like they were yesterday (which, ironically, they may well have been). We never got a conclusion when the Series ended - both Lauren and Stephen, and Stephen's on-off girlfriend and final love triangle member Kristin Cavallari, moved up coast to Los Angeles to start their new lives. Stephen wasn't once seen and was barely mentioned on Lauren's spin-off reality show The Hills, and we saw nothing more of Stephen and Kristin's lingering relationship as he was soon spotted with Hayden Panettiere.

So all was well and good - we didn't know what the hell was up with Lauren and Stephen's friendship or whether there even was one anymore. But, just a week after Colletti's breakup with Panettiere, he was seen at the Hornitos Tequila launch on Thursday night with LC. Lauren posed for a few pictures and signed a couple of autographs, but neither star stopped to talk to reporters on the red carpet.

We'll keep you posted...

Happy Birthday Heidi Montag: The Big 2-1!

So yesterday was Heidi Montag's real coming-of-age - she turned 21 (but we'll forgive you for thinking she was about 8). Saturday, September 15, however, had another big event - coincidental I think not.
Lauren Conrad launched her new clothing line! It seems far beyond a coincidence and Lauren's clearly still got her businesswoman cap on.

Somehow I don't imagine Heidi will be wearing any of Conrad's creations for her birthday celebrations...and I'm willing to bet that Spencer and Heidi will be publicly bashing Lauren's new clothes within the next...hmm, 5 minutes?!

Stephen Splits with Hayden Panettiere!

Just weeks after her 18th birthday, Hayden Panettiere is back on the market. Us Weekly reported this week that Heroes star Hayden and boyfriend of a year, Laguna Beach alum Stephen Colletti, 21, have split.

The actress, who spent much of the past few weeks abroad in Europe with Heroes co-stars on promotional duties, seems to be dealing well - in fact, remarkably so - with the recent breakup. When asked by Us Weekly of Stephen's whereabouts at the VMA's on September 9, she furrowed her brow and said, "I don't know. In California?"

However, Us reports that Hayden may have seen the break-up coming for quite a while. A source said, "Their breakup has been a long time coming."

Amicable or not, Panettiere seems confident in a remaining firm friendship with Colletti. "We are still very close friends," she told Us, "and talk to each other frequently. We appreciate and support each other's careers."

Stephen was not available for comment.

LC Hooks Up With...Cisco Adler?!

Oh, my God, please say this is nothing more than a rumour.

Perez Hilton is reporting that LC was seen making out with Adler, Mischa Barton's ex, in Vegas this past weekend, just hours before the MTV Video Music Awards (which you can catch up with at mtv.ca if you missed it).

Lauren and Cisco were reportedly seen kissing 'with tongue' on Saturday night, according to several of Perez's 'spies'.
More news hopefully coming shortly!

Heidi Epitomises Hilarious

The 'does Spencer really love Heidi?' debate seems to have come to blows with new revelations being made in Us Weekly. Although Spencer's (most probably brainwashed) childhood friend Alex Jackson insists the couple are "very much in love", other sources believe he's using Montag for the publicity and fame.
"Spencer used to brag about how he wanted to be famous and he'd do it by becoming an It couple with Heidi," says a Hills insider. Heidi's part in the debate was played when she poked fun at herself (seemingly) by wearing a slogan "I Got Tricked" t-shirt.
Pratt, 24, who told Details magazine that his goal was to date every girl on The Hills, even once dated co-star Audrina Patridge behind Montag's back, a phase that sparked one of Spencer and Heidi's biggest fights and pushed Pratt even further down in Lauren Conrad's estimation. He "reached out to Audrina to increase his chances of becoming a show fixture," says a second Hills insider.
"She wasn't interested, but Heidi was. It was a process of elimination." Charming.
Spencer attempted defending himself, telling Us Weekly, "Anyone who the truth knows that I was into Heidi from the beginning."
Certainly didn't look like that on TV, Spencer. But whatever. I'm sure you can follow suit and call it 'unfair editing'.
